How To Improve The Quality Of Your Life

Everyone is taking about the ‘quality of life’, so it won’t surprise you to learn that there are many so called hacks to improve your quality of life. We spent a few hours trawling the web for such hacks and here is the best of our findings.

Review The Home

Your living space is where you spend most of your time; what is the air quality like? How about the water? If it’s too hard, for example, there are water softener systems for homes that also act as filters for many contaminants. You could install a whole house water filtration system and be done with it!

Review Your Lifestyle

What exactly do you do when not at work? How do you spend your downtime? Are you generally happy with your lifestyle? Be honest with yourself and, if after some deliberation, you feel there are some changes you could make, create a list. You might find that doing some OT helps, as you are making money instead of spending it. We could all do with a challenging daily workout and if you’re not currently in a fitness regime, maybe now is a good time to start!

Analysis

A little analysis never hurt anyone; start with your career; are you happy? Are there promotional opportunities, do you even enjoy your work? If you’re in a relationship, do you have joint goals? The answers to these and other questions will help you to identify areas of your life where improvements can be made. Some experts would tell you to think about the word happiness, what does it mean to you? It is important to define happiness before planning to achieve that inner peace.

Meditation

Seriously, we believe meditation should be taught in all schools worldwide; we have never encountered a person who took up meditation and didn’t get benefit from this Eastern practice of sitting with oneself.

Dietary Review

List absolutely everything that passes your lips for 7 days; be honest and it might be inconvenient; carry a small notepad with you or download a health app that records your intake. You are what you eat, or so the saying goes; your diet should include fresh fruit and vegetables, which you can order online.

We are all on our own life journey and it is a good idea to stop and take stock now and then, with a view to making some improvements to our lifestyle.
