How To Get The Storage You Want

How to Get the Storage You Want

Gone are the days of storing items in cubbies and under beds. Nowadays, we need storage space to organize our lives and keep everything neat. Cabinets and shelves can be a great way to add storage and style to your living space and office. But when it comes time to buy or build them, the options can be overwhelming.

One of the most common setbacks people come to when designing their homes is needing more storage space. It’s hard to find a place for all your stuff! Whether you live in an apartment with limited cabinet space or want more drawers and shelves to organize everything, these tips will help.

Install The Kitchen Baseboard Drawers

One of the easiest ways to add storage is to add drawers and cabinet doors on the kitchen baseboard. Not only will it add to the open look of your kitchen, but it will also give you a comfortable spot for all your pantry items to be stored. These baseboard kitchen drawers are a great way to keep your baking pans, pots and pans, and glasses and bowls. They’re also great for those large appliances that don’t fit on a shelf and take up counter space.

Under-Cabinet Storage Tools & Materials

In the kitchen, we use many under cabinet storage pieces that usually go on the backs of the cupboards or cabinets. So, this is an excellent option for your home. You don’t even need to buy any extra cabinets for this. If you have cabinets and shelves in your home, it is very easy to make some DIY storage cabinets for the wall and do work with them.

Make Under Cabinet Storage Boxes

To make the most of the under cabinet storage space, make boxes of storage units that match your décor. If you’re using drawers and RTA cabinets to store your belongings, consider adding some lower drawer units for extra storage. They’ll look so much better than storing multiple things in the drawers. If you have no room in your kitchen, look for any boxes lying around in the basement, garage, or attic. Fill up any space with these boxes, and they will be hidden away. Mix and match, as the smaller boxes will look just as stunning next to the ample cabinets as the bigger ones will.

Finishing Under Cabinet Storage

The best thing about modern cabinets is that they allow you to store everything under a single cover. Just attach a plastic or wooden cover to the bottom of the white RTA cabinets or a built-in, floor-to-ceiling wardrobe. This will help hide all the clutter and make it look more appealing. Also, a sink draw can help to organize the everyday items on the sink to be sure to have everything you need at hand.

Storage units or furniture can bring about an entire room change or add to your existing space. Going for the open floor plan is a great way to get a whole fresh look without making significant changes if you’re tired of having a few spaces where you throw everything away. Forget buying storage units; you can easily get cabinets that match your other living room furniture.
